No. There are no pre-orders, reservations, or paid queue positions. Everyone on the list receives the drop link at the same time and orders are filled in the sequence they are placed.

We expect Drop 001 to sell through in hours. It is 500 units total, and the list is notified before any public announcement.

No. Once the 500 units of Drop 001 sell through, the paddle is retired permanently. ADEL does not restock, reissue, or produce a second edition.

ADEL is an Austrian performance equipment and sportswear house based in Vienna. We produce limited, numbered runs of sports equipment and apparel that are never restocked. Our first release, Drop 001, is a run of 500 carbon fiber pickleball paddles.

ADEL is headquartered in Vienna, Austria, and ships worldwide. Orders are dispatched from our Vienna facility.

ADEL is pronounced AH-del. The name comes from the German word for nobility.

It means every ADEL release has a fixed unit count that is published before the drop opens, and we never produce more of it. Drop 001 is 500 paddles: 250 black and 250 white. When they are gone, the product is retired — no restock, no second edition, no reissue in a different colourway.

No. ADEL never restocks a drop. Once the 500 units of Drop 001 sell through, the paddle is retired permanently. The product page stays online as a record, marked retired.

No. ADEL does not discount, run seasonal sales, or issue promotional codes. Because runs are fixed and never restocked, there is no old inventory to clear.

A magnetic presentation box containing the paddle and a thank you card. Nothing else. The thank you card carries your serial number and the private activation code used to register the paddle. There is no case, no sleeve, and no filler — the box is the packaging and the card is the document.

Drop 001, the ADEL 001 pickleball paddle, releases 1 September 2026. Drop 002 is apparel and Drop 003 is training equipment, both in development. Release dates are announced to the ADEL list before anywhere else.

No. ADEL is a performance house covering equipment and sportswear. We started with a pickleball paddle because the gap between what serious players want and what the market sells is widest there. Apparel and training equipment follow.

The ADEL 001 has a 3D 18K raw carbon fiber face, a foam injected core, and a thermoformed unibody construction with no edge guard. It is built on the JS0055 mold.

The ADEL 001 is built on the JS0055 mold, an elongated shape that balances reach and control.

Thermoformed unibody means the paddle is formed as one continuous shell rather than assembled from separate face, core, and edge pieces glued together. There is no perimeter glue seam, which removes the most common failure point in a pickleball paddle.

No. The ADEL 001 is edgeless. The thermoformed shell wraps the perimeter, so there is no rubber edge guard to peel, rattle, or separate from the face over time.

A foam injected core has foam introduced into the paddle body during manufacture, which damps vibration and widens the effective sweet spot. It absorbs off-centre contact more forgivingly than an unfilled honeycomb core alone.

The ADEL 001 weighs 8.1 to 8.3 ounces, or 230 to 235 grams. Every unit is weight-matched and balance-verified by hand before it is numbered.

The ADEL 001 has a 4.25 inch grip circumference and a 5.5 inch handle length, with a perforated wrap.

The ADEL 001 comes in black and white. Both are the same paddle with identical specs and the same price. The run is split evenly: 250 black and 250 white.

The face is raw, unpainted 3D 18K carbon fiber, which is the surface most associated with high spin generation because the texture is the material itself rather than a coating. Unpainted carbon does not lose its texture the way a painted or gritted surface wears smooth.

Certification status is being confirmed and will be published here before Drop 001 opens. Do not assume approval for sanctioned play until this answer states the governing body and certification date.

The ADEL 001 is 489 CAD. Regional pricing is 349 USD, 309 EUR, 269 GBP, 499 AUD, 289 CHF, and 1,290 AED. The price you see is set by the country you select on entry and is charged in that currency.

Because it is produced in a run of 500 rather than tens of thousands, which removes the volume economics that let mass-market paddles hit lower price points. The budget goes into thermoformed construction, raw 18K carbon, hand weight-matching, serialisation, and a 5-year warranty.

Paddles are sold only at getadel.com, and only from 1 September 2026 when Drop 001 opens. ADEL is not sold on Amazon or through third-party marketplaces.

ADEL accepts all major credit and debit cards, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay, through Stripe. Payment is taken in your local currency where we support it.

You are charged in the currency shown on the site, which is set by the country you select. ADEL supports CAD, USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, CHF, and AED. Charging in your own currency means your bank does not add a foreign transaction conversion fee.

Yes. Select the country name in the top right of any page to change your region, and prices update immediately. Your choice is remembered on that device.

Regional prices are set individually rather than converted live, so the number does not move between page loads. Each price is set from the base 489 CAD and includes an allowance for currency movement, card fees, and the duties we prepay on your behalf.

Yes. The 309 EUR price shown to EU customers is VAT-inclusive, as required by EU consumer law. The VAT portion is itemised on your invoice.

Yes, though during a drop we may cap orders per customer to keep the run in the hands of players rather than resellers. Any cap is stated on the product page when the drop opens.

No. There are no reservations or pre-orders. Everyone on the list receives the drop link at the same time, and orders are filled in the sequence they are placed.

Yes. ADEL ships worldwide from Vienna, Austria.

Orders are dispatched within two business days. Delivery is typically 2 to 4 business days within the EU, 5 to 8 business days to North America, and 7 to 12 business days to the rest of the world. Tracking is emailed when the parcel leaves Vienna.

Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on destination. Exact rates are shown before payment is taken.

No. ADEL ships delivered duty paid, which means duties and import taxes are settled before the parcel reaches you. You will not receive a customs invoice on arrival.

Yes. A tracking number is emailed as soon as the parcel is dispatched from Vienna.

Email support@getadel.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the damage and the outer packaging. Transit damage is replaced at no cost.

Contact support@getadel.com with your order number. We open a carrier trace immediately. Traces take up to 10 business days to resolve, after which we reship or refund.

ADEL accepts returns within 30 days of delivery on unused paddles in original packaging with the activation code unscratched. Return shipping is free and refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of receipt.

Email support@getadel.com with your order number to request a return. We issue a prepaid label and the return address. Do not ship a return without requesting one first — the registered office is not a returns address.

No. Returns require the paddle to be unused and in original condition. A paddle taken on court cannot be returned, though it remains covered by the warranty against manufacturing defects.

Registering a paddle uses the one-time activation code and marks the serial as claimed, so a registered paddle is generally not returnable. Contact support@getadel.com if you registered by mistake and have not used the paddle.

Yes. EU and Austrian consumers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht) from the day of delivery, exercisable without giving a reason. ADEL's 30-day return window is offered in addition to that right and does not replace it.

Refunds are issued within 10 business days of the returned paddle arriving at our facility. Your bank may take a further 3 to 5 business days to show the credit.

Yes, within the 30-day window and subject to the other colourway still being available. Email support@getadel.com — because both colourways are capped at 250 units, exchanges depend on remaining stock.

Registration is not mandatory, but it is required to activate warranty coverage. Registering within 30 days of purchase gives you 5-year coverage instead of the standard 2 years.

The serial is laser-engraved on the side of the paddle head, and printed on the thank you card inside the presentation box. Serials read ADEL-001-0000.

Go to getadel.com/registration.html, enter the serial from the side of the head, then enter the private activation code from the card inside your box along with your details. The whole process takes about a minute.

The activation code is a private 8-character code printed on the thank you card inside the sealed magnetic box. It is what proves you own the paddle rather than just having seen it, since the engraved serial is visible to anyone.

Enter the serial at getadel.com/registration.html. We confirm it against the production ledger and return the unit number and build date. A serial that is not in the ledger is not a genuine ADEL.

Yes, and you should. Entering the serial tells you whether the paddle is genuine and whether it is already registered to someone. A paddle that is already claimed cannot be re-registered without a transfer from the current owner.

That means the serial has been claimed. If you bought the paddle new, email support@getadel.com immediately with proof of purchase. If you bought it secondhand, ask the seller to initiate an ownership transfer.

Yes. Ownership transfer is initiated by the registered owner and confirmed by the new owner. Remaining warranty term transfers with the paddle, but the 5-year Founding Member tier does not reset on transfer.

Yes. Email support@getadel.com with the serial number and your proof of purchase, and we will verify and register the paddle manually.

ADEL paddles carry a 5-year warranty against manufacturing defects when registered within 30 days of purchase. Paddles registered after 30 days, or not registered at all, carry a 2-year limited warranty.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects: core delamination, face separation, thermoform seam failure, and handle detachment. It covers the paddle failing because of how it was made.

Not covered: normal wear, grip wear, cosmetic scratches, cracks from impact with the ground or another paddle, alterations or unauthorised repairs, purchases from unauthorised sellers, and paddles with removed or defaced serials.

Start at getadel.com/warranty.html with your serial number and photographs of the defect. Claims are decided within 5 business days, and approved claims receive a prepaid return label.

An approved claim is replaced with the same model, or the nearest equivalent from a current release if your drop has sold through. ADEL does not issue cash refunds under warranty.

The remaining warranty term transfers to a new owner through the ownership transfer process, but the 5-year Founding Member tier does not renew or restart on transfer.

No. For consumers in Austria and the EU, the statutory two-year Gewährleistung applies regardless of this warranty. ADEL's warranty is offered in addition to your statutory rights, not instead of them.

Yes, on a small scale. We support competing players and coaches with equipment, early access, and direct support. We weight how you play and who you teach more heavily than follower count.

Yes. Courts, academies, and training facilities can apply for bulk and demo programmes, including co-branded runs for member sales, through the partnerships page.
